It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year
Holiday Season 2022
The holiday season is in full swing its one of the busiest times of the year. I used to make it such a big deal as a kid and I have realized after becoming an adult that because I work in a public school and not private it seems that I blink at the beginning of December and all of a sudden its Christmas. Cue the mad dash to prepare and get everything ready. I used to really get into the whole decorating thing, but with having to teach, run a business, manage my podcast, and being a full time single mom it becomes really more trouble than what its worth. I went from doing a full on Dominican Martha Stewart transformation to my little apartment to not putting anything up this year. For my mental health I am 100% okay with that. Besides my mom has that down pact at her house and since we spend the holiday break with her anyway it really doesn’t make sense to put up a full blown Christmas tree.
We still keep the holiday traditions Aidan loves going to see the “Rocketeers” as he calls them in the Christmas Spectacular. We do ugly sweaters every day of the week leading up to the day we go on Winter Break. He does a lot of activities in his school and we do other little things here and there. This year we are planning on doing a christmas pajama party with the family.

Hola Comadres,
Life updates:
This past week was way better than the last Friday Aidan tested negative for the Rona on Friday and is much better. Isn’t coughing much and is seemingly back to his full self. He has been back at school since Monday. This weekend was eventful on Friday I was invited by the lovely Zuly of El Salon Chronicles to join them and attend the Daddy Yankee “La Ultima Vuelta Tour” that took place at the UBS Arena out in Long Island. Let me tell you that Ms. Zuli has become very bougie and I am here for it. The tickets were premium box seats where it was only us there. I took my mom and auntie with me and we had an absolute blast. It brings me so much joy to take my mom to participate in those types of activity it really helps me see her youthfulness and help her tap into her inner child. It was a lovely evening Aidan stayed with the sitter and we went to pick him up that evening. The next day we just stayed home it was pretty cold and it started snowing.
Sunday we were invited by Julissa aka @juju_lilmissalkaline to the Annual Dyckman Tree Lighting Ceremony.
At first Aidan didn’t really want to go but once I told him we would be seeing Santa Clause he was excited to go. We wore our ugly Christmas Sweaters and we invited my mom. The day was overcast and then eventually we started getting wet snow. It made it difficult but it was nice to see so many people come out to support. We were able to get there early enough to be first on line to see Santa. Due to the weather being so bad we took a pic with Santa, got our gift, and then headed out. We will go and see the tree when its dry out. Aidan did so good that he earned McDonald’. I asked Aidan if he enjoyed the event and he said yes. I love being able to do these types of events now with him. This wasn’t always the case and I am so grateful. I do recognize my privilege and I thank God every day.
This week I was able to interview a very special person Dr. Kerry Magro world renowned Autism Advocate and speaker. It was so interesting to hear his perspective. I can’t wait for you all to hear.
This week’s episode is amazing.
